Robert Pattinson’s ‘Bel Ami’ Premiere and Screening: Details Revealed

More details about Bel Ami, the forthcoming explicit, period drama were made public today at a press conference in Berlin. Bel Ami, adapted from Guy de Maupassant’s sexually charged tale about a penniless ex-soldier in nineteenth century Paris, will receive its world premiere – yes, red carpet time – on February 17 at the Berlin Film Festival.

Press information released today by the organizers of the festival reveal that on the day of the premiere, the fun starts much earlier with a brief photo call at 13:45; and just after that, there will be a press conference. The film’s directors Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod will be at the photo call and press conference, and it’s possible Robert, Uma, Christina, Kristin (Scott Thomas, that is!) will also be there.

The 62nd Berlinale, which runs from February 9-19, is a highly prestigious festival for film-makers and serious movie buffs, so the premiere will most likely be packed with people hoping to not only see its stars, but also the film as well.

Bel Ami will get three screenings in front of the general public and an extra one for press only. The screening dates are as follows: February 17 at 12:00 pm for the press, one general public screening at 19:30 pm, and two more on February 18 at 12:00 pm and 22:45 pm.

Enterprising fans and film lovers can buy advance tickets to the Festival from February 6 onwards, but on the day of the screenings, tickets will only be available at the box offices of the actual cinemas.

The 25-year-old actor’s life will soon get a little bit more busy when his upcoming flick Bel Ami hits theaters on March 2!

In the meantime, if you can’t get enough Rob, make sure to pick up your copy of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 when it hits stores on February 11.

Rob‘s Breaking Dawn co-star Joe Anderson recently revealed to the Sioux City Journal the craziest thing he’s witnessed a fan do.

“A woman was standing outside the Sutton Place in Vancouver with a pair of scissors. She had flown from England to cut some of Robert Pattinson‘s hair for a doll,” Joe said. Wow!
